Just like success in real estate is all about location, location, location, making it in today’s tech world seems to depend on timing, timing and timing. But if that’s the case, BlackBerry’s revival might be put on hold for a while longer.
That’s because BB hasn’t exactly picked the perfect moment to make the Z10 available in the States and open Q10 pre-orders. And yet, while you’d think Samsung’s Galaxy S4 and HTC’s One would be all the rage, we do find the time to talk about the new BlackBerry 10 devices, so who knows, maybe people will buy them too.
Due out in UK and US soon, the second BB 10 smartphone, the Q10, can be ordered from Clove and Negri Electronics. The former estimates shipping to start in “late April” and has a pretty fair starting price point – £534.99, including VAT, or $813.
Meanwhile, Negri is the only trusted American retailer we know of that has the Q10 up for pre-orders, but there’s no ETA at this time. As for pricing, it’s pretty scary – $879.50 outright. Then again, we suspect the recommended retail price will be a lot lower. Probably $600. $650 tops.
