With tablet prices dropping like crazy lately, it’s becoming more and more difficult to make people interested in e-book readers. But if you want both a decent tab and a basic e-reader and money is your number one concern, Barnes & Noble is holding a super-attractive fire sale this week.
Every Nook HD+ tab purchased straight from B&N’s online store comes with a free bundled Simple Touch e-reader, so you can get the best of both worlds for as less as $269. That’s if you pick the 16 GB version of the Nook HD+, whereas the 32 GB model goes for $299.
But what exactly do you get for that money? Well, we don’t want to lie to you. The Nook HD+ is no iPad killer and the Simple Touch is clearly inferior to Amazon’s latest Kindle Paperwhite.
Then again, paying just 270 bucks for a full-fledged 9-inch tablet with a 1,920 x 1,080 pix res display, dual-core 1.5 GHz CPU and 1 GB of RAM plus an e-reader with a 6-inch touchscreen and Wi-Fi is a real privilege. And one you will only have access to through March 31, so you better hurry!
