Londoner Paul Cocksedge saw a problem with the Bluetooth speakers that were on the market. Their sound quality just can’t compete with conventional speakers, yet they are often inordinately expensive. His solution? He calls it the Vamp (a play on the notion of “revamping” old speakers) and is currently raising funds for the first production run of his doodad on Kickstarter.
The Vamp is now available as a reward for just £35—equivalent to about $52 USD at current exchange rates. They’ve only got a month to go (as of the time writing this article) with just 2000 quid away from their goal, so it’s almost a sure bet this will be a successful campaign.
