HTC had to push back One’s global release a little due to UltraPixel camera shortages, but now it seems the 4.7-incher is ready to make one of its first steps towards world fame. Three, UK’s fourth largest carrier (no pun intended), is offering the One (sheesh) starting today both on and off contract.
It’s tough to say which one of the options is more lucrative, so we’ll let you decide according to your starting budgets and long-term needs. The Pay As You Go (aka SIM-free) price tag is £479.99, which translates into around $727 USD.
Meanwhile, you can grab the HTC One for no upfront payment if you sign up to a new 24-month contract with Three. In that case, you can either cough up an extra £34 a month and have unlimited data, 500 minutes and 5,000 texts or pay £36 monthly and spoil yourself with all-you-can-eat data, 2,000 minutes, 5,000 Three-to-Three minutes and 5,000 texts.
For some reason, the black HTC One model is still stuck on pre-order status, so if you’re in a rush you’ll have to make do with the silver version.
