After announcing an internationally celebrated new product, what would any talented group do? Go on tour, obviously. And that’s exactly what the Taiwanese rockstars at HTC are doing, by means of a U.S. marketing campaign starting Friday.
Orchestrated in tandem with the company’s new flagship roll out, One, the ‘HTC One Live Experience Tour’ will hit eleven “major markets across the U.S.” The tour will include hands-on experiences with the HTC One smartphone and other promotional events, music performances and other HTC-themed opportunities.
The tour is setting out to show spectators how their One is “Everything Your Phone Isn’t.”
Firstly, their HTC BoomSound Lounge is a section that spotlights the One’s unprecedented front-facing speakers and it’s dedicated amplifier, equipped with Beats Audio integration for top-notch sound during any activity. This attraction will hit New York’s Columbus Circle, Embarcadero Plaza in San Francisco, Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles, Wrigleyville in Chicago, Franklin Square in Philadelphia and Perimeter Mall in Atlanta.
The BoomSound Lounge will also connect consumers to exclusive HTC concerts in partnership with Live Nation. Hip-hop super talent Pharrell will perform in New York, Grouplove in Chicago and Manchester Orchestra in L.A. to a limited 1,000 person audience. Attendees in those cites can visit the HTC BoomSound Lounge for details about acquiring tickets to the intimate events. For those who aren’t so lucky, the live performances will be streamed and viewable inside the Lounges across the country.
Next, HTC One Showrooms, starting on April 11, will be displayed in high-traffic malls across the country for a minimum of three months. This will be a “playful, dynamic, digital space for consumer interaction and entertainment.” Demonstrating the One and all of it’s features, the One Showroom will be found in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
