T-Mobile’s pre-order process for the iPhone 5 wasn’t the smoothest thing around, but at least it’s making good on shipping. T-Mobile has informed some customers that their iPhone 5 units have been shipped. The phone will be available in T-Mobile stores tomorrow for the same $99 down and $20 a month pre-order customers were privy to.
T-Mobile never made a hard stance on when iPhone 5 pre-orders would arrive at the homes of customers. April 15 is a common estimated delivery date for standard shipping, but individuals who opted for next-day shipping are getting the same delivery date as well. You won’t be able to get a good idea of when your phone will arrive until you check the tracking information after it has been shipped.
There are a few ways to get your tracking number. The easiest way is to wait until T-Mobile sends you a text or email informing you of the shipping. Another way is to log in to your T-Mobile account and click on your order status that should be located under “My account activity.” If your order has shipped, you should see a tracking ID on the page. The third option is to send an email to TForce@t-mobile.com and ask them. In my experience, T-Force is a lot more helpful than a phone representative or an online live chat agent.
