Motorola’s Google’s nearly-mythological X Phone is as intriguing as it is mysterious. Dozens of rumors have surrounded X Phone for months now, though Google has confirmed essentially nothing of substance regarding the subject. And even if several Google officials have seemed to drop hints of X Phone’s existence of late, we wouldn’t be terribly surprised if the whole thing would prove to be just a hoax.
Now today’s latest rumor comes from Phone Arena, the online publication that claims to have gotten inside scoop of the X Phone’s looks. Sounds very exciting, we know, but the only thing the site managed to find out was that the handheld is planned to be offered in a variety of chromatic combos.
“Over 20”, to be precise. Which would show us guys once and for all that there are in fact 20 colors and our better halves are not making stuff up when talking about “beige” dresses and “turquoise” blouses.
All joking aside, that doesn’t really sound newsworthy, but while hearing about the “over” 20 color combos, Phone Arena has also received word that the X Phone is not to be hardware customizable after all.
That means you won’t be able to order an X with your desired amount of RAM or preferred screen size, which is a bit of a downer. But hey, you will be able to get one of these in pink. And probably yellow. And fuchsia, and burgundy. Sooo cool, right?
