So you’ve had your eyes set on Sony’s splendid 5-inch Xperia Z smartphone. But you have been unable to score one because, well, the fellow is yet to make a commercial debut in the States. No worries, as Best Buy is now selling the Z in an unlocked, SIM-free flavor.
Unfortunately, the 5-incher’s price is downright scandalous, so you might just have to wait a little longer to see if Sony or one of the country’s carriers will have mercy on you. Then again, if you’re related to an oil baron or just hate waiting and have to own the Xperia Z now, know that Best Buy charges $899.99 for the thing.
And after all, you’ll be getting a beauty of a phone for that kind of dough. In fact, some say the Z is even cooler than the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One. Worst case scenario, it’s close to the two, coming with a Full HD panel, water and dust protection, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a quad-core Snapdragon 600 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 4G LTE speeds and a 13 MP camera in tow.
Meanwhile, if you’re not the kind of guy who takes his phone for a swim on a daily basis, you might be interested in the Xperia ZL, Z’s non-waterproof sibling. The thing is basically just as elegant and zippy as the Z and goes for $759.99 outright via Sony’s US Store.
