LG’s Optimus F5 is definitely not the most exciting Android smartphone to have made its debut during the opening months of 2013, but it might well offer the perfect balance between portability, performance, elegance and affordability for many.
And if you agree, you should rejoice at hearing the 4.3-incher is finally ready to start selling. Later today the F5 will be up for grabs in France, with a number of other European countries set to follow suit over the next few weeks.
The Optimus F5 is to make its debut in parts of Asia, as well as South and Central America soon, while the US is on hold for now. We have heard word of a Verizon launch a while ago, but that’s not confirmed yet, so we should probably wait before jumping to any conclusions.
Again, while this is no Samsung Galaxy S4 killer, it would be a terrible shame if Americans wouldn’t be able to buy it as the thing comes with a 4.3-inch 960 x 540 pix res display, dual-core 1.2 GHz CPU, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1 GB of RAM, 2,150 mAh battery and 4G LTE speeds. All while costing, we presume, no more than $450 outright.
