It’s not unusual for “tipsters” and “pundits” to go crazy in the preceding days of a major tech-related event, but Nokia’s May 14 London press conference is about to break every record known to mankind in terms of rumor diversity.
The only certainty seemed to be that Nokia was going to intro the Verizon-bound Lumia 928 on the 14th, but now we’re not even sure about that. Instead, another oft-rumored flagship device, known only as the Catwalk, is said to be the show’s star, alongside a Lumia 625 that’s for the first time in the rumor mill.
To be honest, it definitely makes sense for the Lumia 928 to skip the London event, given the thing is pretty much an open book for the media following recent “leaks”. The Catwalk has itself had most of its specs revealed, but these are far from set in stone, as is the thing’s design.
If we are to believe existent predictions, the Catwalk is headed to T-Mobile with an aluminum body, 4.5-inch 720p display, dual-core 1.5 GHz S4 processor, 1 gig of RAM and 2,000 mAh battery. Finally, the Lumia 625 is said to be the family’s biggest member to date, but certainly not the most technically impressive.
The thing will come with a 4.7-inch WVGA panel, dual-core 1.2 GHz CPU, 512 MB of RAM, Windows Phone 8 GDR 2, 2,000 mAh battery and 4G LTE speeds. How about it, fellas, are you more excited about the Catwalk/625 duo than the Lumia 928?
