Tylt Y-ChargeHave you ever been riding with a passenger, and both of you needed to charge your phones at the same time? Kind of a pain, right? Tylt sent me a Y-Charge 2.1 to test out, and I’ve got to say, it answers the problem.

The device is compact, and Tylt says it’s good in temperatures from below 0 (Fahrenheit) to over 120 degrees. So leave it in your car and don’t worry about it.

The USB out ports are well placed, and two charging cables were at the right angle to go around my gear shift without interfering with my driving. It fit snugly in my power point, unlike some car chargers I’ve tried.

Unfortunately, my husband’s iPhone was fully charged, so I couldn’t test the charging speed with two devices, but the Tylt charger took my iPhone from just under 1/2 to a full charge in about an hour, and that was while I was using it to play music, which meant the screen was also dimly lit. That was quite a bit faster than I was expecting, so I was pleased.

Overall, I’m happy with the product. If you’re looking for a way to charge multiple devices at once, or just want a solid, colorful car charger, the Tylt product is a good one.
