The first piece – pricing – has been revealed last week, big chunks of the spec sheet have subsequently leaked to the press, while the first low-res photo of the device has been uncovered mere hours ago. While this is not an official pic, it accompanied the N7-2 (codename Asus K009) at the Bluetooth SIG, so it’s 100% legit.
Sadly, we can’t tell a whole lot about the slate’s design from the image, though it’s obvious the vertical bezels around the screen are a little thinner than before. Other than that, a weight downgrading is also said to be in store, but that’s probably where the cosmetic makeovers will stop.
Remember though, the 7-incher is said to be very different compared with its predecessor in the hardware department, which will warrant the slight price bump and then some. Specifically, rumor has it the N7-2 will pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and 2 GB of RAM.
Plus, the display’s resolution is likely to be increased to a whopping Full HD and there will also be a brand new camera fitted on the back, namely a 5 MP snapper. Sounds pretty awesome, doesn’t it?
