Twitter has released some neat updates, specifically with direct message syncing and smarter search results for users. Now, you can sync direct messages across all of your devices and Twitter accounts.
“People use Twitter to connect to the things and people they care about,” explains Josh Barnes-Hoyt, Twitter’s Software Engineer. “Today, we’re making that even easier with a coordinated update for seven different apps: Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac, twitter.com, mobile.twitter.com and TweetDeck.”
There are also improved search results for Twitter’s Android, iPhone, iPad, mobile.twitter.com and Mac versions. For the smartphone and app versions, you can view an expanded bio of users when you search for a user. Also, if you swipe to the left, you’ll find similar accounts to the people you’re searching for.
Specifically for iPhone users, you can reply to tweets with a in-app tweet composer when you tap to see details. You will now also see a People button on the nav bar, similarly to the Android version, to see relevant users.
Twitter for Mac now includes interactions on the Connect tab similarly to the Web and mobile versions.
