It was fate that brought me together with the Sound pOp on that summery day at CE Week. Admittedly, I wasn’t exactly sure what it was when I walked by, but I knew it was something special. Really, you can’t fully explain AudioSource’s new, innovative bluetooth speaker. The Sound pOp just has too much to it.

If you’re looking for a bluetooth speaker that you can literally fit in the palm of your hand, then the Sound pOp is made for you. If you’re looking for a bluetooth speaker that goes far beyond the bounds of a bluetooth speaker, then the Sound pOp is made for you too.

The Amazing SoundpOp

The Amazing Sound pOp

Yes, in short the Sound pOp is a high definition mobile audio bluetooth speaker and speaker phone (try saying that five times fast). And let’s face it, these days it’s all about the bluetooth. PS: The Sound pOp has bluetooth version 4 (the most advanced version of bluetooth currently available).

The Sound pOp syncs to bluetooth devices in a snap so you’ll be ready for whatever life throws at you. In the words of Audiosource, the Sound pOp is “outdoor ready for camping, boating, and zombie attacks.” See! I told you it’s ready for anything!

This might seem a little odd, but the controls on the Sound pOp remind me of facial features, so I can’t help but think of it as my little speaker buddy, or even better my musical sidekick (take that, Robin).

What’s truly great about the Sound pOp is its multiple capabilities. It’s waterproof so you can bring it in the shower thanks to its strong suction cup. And I don’t know about you, but my shower singing sounds monumentally better with the actual music in the background. The Sound pOp is built to endure the elements thanks to its silicone rubber case, so you can trust it will stay put (even if you elect to sing Miley Cyrus).

If I’m being honest, my favorite feature of the Sound pOp is that you can use it as a mount for your device. Thanks to the suction cup, all you have to do is stick the Sound pOp onto the back of your device and voila! You have a mount! I’m always missing calls on my iPhone because I can’t see my screen while I’m working on my computer. However, with the Sound pOp I am no longer anti-social! Which is good…I guess.

Let’s get serious for a second. I promise it will only be a second. We all know the dangers of driving while on our cellphones. Well thanks to the Sound pOp, you’ve got a hands-free speaker phone that will stick to any surface in your car.

If you’re worried about the audio quality of such a small device, rest assured. I tested the Sound pOp and found that the audio was really clear and crisp. You won’t get a crazy powerful bass, but you’ll still get great sound. And it streams music or phone calls up to 32 feet. Don’t worry about the battery life either. The Sound pOp lasts up to eight hours using a low-ion battery.
