NVIDIA Shield is an Android based console that was expected to hit the market last month, but was delayed due to some mechanical issues. Today, we have a good news from all those users who pre-ordered there device. Nvidia has confirmed that the device will reach all those users who pre-ordered on 31st July via email.

We want to thank you for your patience and for sticking with us through the shipment delay of your SHIELD. We have great news to share with you – your SHIELD will ship on July 31st.

In terms of specifications, NVIDIA Shield is powered by quad-core Tegra 4 CPU with 2GB RAM, 5 inch multi-touch Retina display boasting a resolution of 1280 x 720, 16GB flash memory with Android Jelly Bean on top of it. This means that it can run games from the Google Play Store as well. Many developers have even started making their games compatible with Shield as well. If you want, you can still pre-order the device at a price tag of $299.
