Nokia today has introduced its latest smartphone dubbed – Lumia 625. Said device is pretty special for the simple fact that it boasts of a 4.7-inch display. This makes the Nokia Lumia 625, Nokia’s biggest phone to date. The phone follows the release of another device in the same Nokia 600 series, the Lumia 620 which was released earlier this year. As such, the Nokia Lumia 620 bears some features of the Lumia 600 including the 800×480 resolution.
The Nokia Lumia 625 also happens to be a 4G LTE-capable smartphone and is powered by a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. The phone also sports a thin form factor measuring a mere 9.15mm in thickness. Unfortunately, while we all know that Nokia is capable of churning out a smartphone with a pretty powerful camera, it decided to pack this one only with a 5MP camera module.
Still, the inclusion of some Nokia camera apps will make the phone’s camera pretty worthwhile to use. This apps include Cinemagraph and Nokia Smart Camera. Other features of the Nokia Lumia 625 include an 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot for storage expansion, and yes – Windows Phone 8.
Available in various colors, the Nokia Lumia 625 is scheduled for release in China, Europe, Asia Pacific, India, Middle Easy, Africa and Latin America sometime in Q3 2013. It has an estimated retail price of around 220 Euros. No words yet as to when it will be released in the U.S.
