A new report from a Korean publication confirms that some of the specifications of the much awaited phablet have leaked and also claims that the device will be released on September 4 in Berlin. How good does that sound to you? According to MK News, the story has been confirmed by a so-called knowledgeable source at Samsung.
It was believed that the device will feature a 5.99 inch display, but then a series of rumors suggested that it will come with a 5.7 inch display. One reported benchmark pointed towards a possibility of Snapdragon 800 processor in the upcoming phablet. The report suggests that Galaxy Note 3 will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor which supports LTE-Advanced that offers 2x the speed of LTE. The device will feature a 5.7-inch display with a thin bezel instead of 5.99. The source suggests that the Korean giant did plan to introduce it as a 5.99-incher but due to the market response will earlier phablets including Mega 5.8 and 6.3, the company had to switch plans. The device will have 3GB RAM as leaked before and will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on top of it.
The source also reveals that it will be launched on September 4 in Berlin. I guess this is the time we will see more and more rumors about the device. The next few months are going to exciting as all the major companies have their flagships coming up. It is expected that Sony will launch i1 Honami, Apple with a new alleged iPhone 5S and iPhone Lite and now, Samsung with its Galaxy Note 3. It will be an action packed next few months.
