A rumor from a few weeks back said that Samsung is currently working on a massive 12-inch tablet, as reported by Digitimes. Now, another publication backs up said rumor and has reconfirmed that the Korean company is in fact working on a 12-inch tablet and it’s expected to launch in October.
Citing industry source The Korean Economic Daily, the 12-incher will feature Samsung’s LCD Panel with a resolution higher than Full HD.
Many other OEMs are moving towards big screen devices these days. Samsung already has a phablet, Galaxy Note 2, with its updated model expected to hit shelves next month.
Also it was reported a few days back that Apple has asked its suppliers to prepare a 12.9-inch display tablet, which would be bigger than iPad. It is not confirmed whether the bigger iPad will actually be launched but the company is testing large displays, according to Wall Street Journal.
If the expected October launch date of Samsung’s 12.2-inch table is correct, we will definitely see more information surface up until then.
