Earlier this week, Google updated the Android YouTube app with a slew of new features. On Tuesday, the iOS app received the same treatment. The iOS app now includes picture-in-picture multitasking, a new cards design and the ability to search for playlists.
Alongside searching for playlists we get the option to continuously play videos from those playlists. Google also improved the casting feature of the app. Casting allows you to play YouTube videos remotely on a device that’s connected to your television such as a Chromecast or PlayStation 3. You’ll now get a preview screen whenever you select a video while you’re connected to another device. You’ll have the option to queue up the video from there or start playing it.
