Don’t blame the Xbox group but with the recent Xbox 360 system update, Microsoft decided to close down the Xbox.com PC Marketplace. Unfortunately the online service was shut down on Sunday, August 25, 2013, meaning that users can now no longer purchase computer games through the Xbox.com website.
Those who previously downloaded PC games from the Marketplace could still access and download them again through the Games for Windows Live client. Games for Windows Live service will still do the same function and operate as before.
The option to buy games from PC Marketplace on Xbox.com is no more. Don’t worry, this is just one. Microsoft is still serious with pushing forward Windows gaming experience. I think the Redmond guys are thinking this through seriously now that Jason Holtman, a former Valve employee, was hired to head the software giant’s PC gaming efforts.
