Be honest; If you were to ever recommend a Windows Phone-based device to anyone (even your enemies), that fellow would be the Nokia Lumia 1020, right? Until the Lumia 1520 lands, that is, because the 6-incher sounds like a real game-changer.
Meanwhile, the Lumia 925 looks like yesteryear’s flagship device, despite being a couple months old, and so no one in their right minds could ever go for the 4.5-incher, right? Not so fast.
True, the 925 has nothing on the 1020 and is even inferior to the 928 in some ways, but what if you can’t afford the extravagantly priced 1020 and don’t dig Verizon or want something skinnier than the 928? Then the Lumia 925 is definitely your guy, especially considering it’ll be available on two major US networks starting a couple of weeks from now.
Already up for grabs on T-Mobile, the Windows Phone will officially land on AT&T on September 13, with pre-orders set to go live later today. The price point is fairly easy to guess – $99.99 with two-year pacts – though T-Mo seems to have the better deal going on, as it offers the Lumia 925 for $0 upfront, plus 24 monthly payments of 20 bucks and most importantly no required contract.
