Samsung at IFA 2013 in Berlin has officially announced the third in the Note series, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The first thing that comes into our mind is of course how different it is from the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. As mentioned in the title of this post, the Galaxy Note 3 is wider, slimmer and lighter than Galaxy Note 2.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a wider 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display as compared to the 5.5-inch display of its predecessor. And yet, it is also slimmer than the Note 2 measuring only 8.3mm in dimension. It’s 168g weight is also lighter than the Galaxy Note 2. Even the battery was improved in the Galaxy Note 3. It now rocks a 3200mAh power pack.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also comes with a 13MP rear camera with Smart Stabilization and high CRI LED flash. This of course allows you to take nice photos even in low light environment and during active situations. The Note 3 is also an LTE-equipped smartphone which according to Samsung is the latest kind, CAT4 Carrier Aggregration. This simply means that the Note 3 supports the greatest number of multiple frequencies. And yes, the Galaxy Note 3 also comes packed with 3GB of RAM.
Similar to what it did with other Galaxy Notes during launch, Samsung is also introducing a new app for S Pen with the launch of the Galaxy Note 3. This time the feature is called Air Command. This feature pings up a menu wheel from which allows you to navigate through apps and actions. In addition, the Galaxy Note 3 S Pen also feature Pen Window, Action Memo, and S Finder.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is scheduled for release on September 25 together with the Samsung Galaxy Gear.
