Lenovo has announced both the Lenovo Vibe X smartphone and the ultra mobile Lenovo S5000 tablet at the 2013 IFA in Berlin this week. Both devices are designed to be sleek and attractive, while housing bright screens and powerful cameras.
The Lenovo Vibe X smartphone features a lightweight frame that has been laser-engraved for a 3D tactile finish. The five-inch display dazzles with a 1920×1080 HD resolution under an edge-beveled Gorilla Glass 3 screen. Users will enjoy the wide viewing angle of the screen as well as a wide-angle front camera.
The Vibe X has a five-megapixel front-facing camera with a 84-degree wide-angle lens. If you like taking high-quality self portraits, then this is certainly for you. Users can set up the ideal shot with pinch/zoom gesturing, and a built-in image editor lets them enhance and finish photos.
The thirteen-megapixel front-facing camera takes exellent videos and photos, and also features a back-illuminated sensor for sharper images.
The Lenovo S5000 Tablet is one of the slimmest tablets out there, measuring only 7.9mm. The seven-inch 1280×800 resolution screen with 350 nit brightness makes this tablet ideal for photo and video entertainment.
Despite how thin it is, it packs some seriously powerful hardware.
The S5000 operates on Android 4.2 with a Quad-Core Media Tek 8389 1.2 GHz processor. It also features an On The Go (OTG) port to connect to storage media or to charge other devices. The 3450mAh battery can last all day for web browsing, or long enough to watch 2-3 HD movies.
“Lenovo continues to bring head-turning innovations to the PC Plus marketplace with the Lenovo Vibe X smartphone’s uncompromising hardware design, its rich display and memory-making camera technologies,” said Wayne Chen, vice president and general manager, mobile business unit, Lenovo.
“Along with the S5000 tablet, these carefully crafted devices unleash a powerful blend of beautiful and smart technology to improve people’s lives.”
