Renders and concept images of unreleased gadgets are not usually my thing, as they tend to show off the way fans would like said products to look instead of objective, cold, realistically possible designs.
Yet when it comes to the latest Nexus 5 “artwork” I have to admit I’m not only impressed by the attention to detail, but also by the way the artists seem to have closely taken into consideration every recent rumor and report (or, you know, at least the partially substantiated ones.)
Especially the possible sighting of the LG-made N5 in that Android KitKat promotional video. There are two particular renders that I’d like to show you today, which are not inherently different, but aren’t exactly identical either. There’s also a third floating around, though it’s a little far out there, so not really worth your attention.
Anyway, the first of the two, which you can see at the top of this post, stars an N5 with ultra-slim bezels, a very clean industrial overall feel and straight corners which on the whole give it a sort of “boxy” vibe. Meanwhile, the second design is much curvier, although I for one get the impression the bezels are even thinner.
In any case, I very much dig both of these renders and I’d love to see Google and LG’s Nexus 5 look like any of the two concepts when made official. How about you? Do you have any preference?
