While still riding high off of the company’s awesome presence at the IFA conference in Berlin last week, Samsung’s JK Shin spoke figures with etnews. And of course with the updated Galaxy Note being unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked 2.0 event and on the minds of just about anyone who uses a handheld, Shin provided an updated count of total sales for the S-Pen wielding phablet.
According to Shin, the Korean tech giant has sold over 38 million Galaxy Note units — though failing to clarify about how many of the total number accounted for Note 2 sales and how many referred to the original Galaxy Note. Shin did however add that he expects the Galaxy Note 3 to easily pass the 10 million marker in sales. Only time will tell (but we do too, Mr. Shin.)
As a quick rehash, Samsung announced that the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 will be made available on U.S. Cellular and T-Mobile; the former, sometime in October, the latter on October 2. AT&T has announced that they’ll be offering up the device, is currently accepting pre-orders and will begin shipping on October 1. Verizon is also accepting pre-orders and will beginning shipping their version on October 10.
