Look what we have here — another leak about the purported HTC One Max. It seems that the phablet can’t stay off the radar for too much longer, as the latest leak reconfirms some specifications of the phablet along with its price. The recent leak emerged from Weibo (Chinese Twitter alternative,) where an image showing the alleged specifications of the device was posted. In addition, the rumors also confirm the codename of the device along with its price.
According to the leaked image, HTC One Max will feature a 5.9-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 with 2GB RAM. On the other hand, the device will be powered by a 1.7GHz processor, which could be Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 as leaked by the prolific Twitter leaker known as @evleaks.
Recently, @evleaks tweeted that HTC One Max would feature a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, the same chipset that comes with Google Nexus 4 or it could be Snapdragon 600. Other specifications include 16GB storage, 3,300 mAh battery and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box.
Lastly, HTC One Max will be codenamed HTC 8088 and will come with a $800 price tag with an expected launch in October, according to rumors. Thinking from a customer’s point of view, this could be a very high price for a device that does not feature the latest hardware.
