Google’s Nexus 4 8GB was sold out a few days back and the company mentioned that the stock will not be replenished. Now, it seems Google Nexus 4 16GB model is sold out on Google Play Store in US as well.
A few weeks back, Google reduced the price of the Nexus 4 by $100, which looks like an attempt by LG/Google to clear their inventory. The handset might be available in other countries until stocks lasts. This might be an indication that Google Nexus 5 launch is right around the corner.
Several rumors suggest that the search engine giant will announce Google Nexus 5 by the end of October – expected to be October 14th with an end October release date. Google Nexus 5 was first spotted at the Android 4.4 KitKat launch video, with a number of appearances on FCC and mockup designs.
The handset is rumored to feature a 5-inch display with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz. The device is expected to be identical to LG G2 and will come with 2GB RAM, 16-32GB internal storage, 13MP back camera and 2MP front camera. The handset will be powered by a 2,300 mAh battery with wireless charging support. On the software side, the handset is expected to run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
