Sony unveiled what they claim to be the “best of Sony” in the form of Sony Xperia Z1 earlier this month. There were rumors circulating all over the internet that a miniature version of the flagship is in works as well. We’ve also seen the handset posing for the camera on a number of occasions and it is rumored that it will bring top of the line specifications as its elder brother, packed inside a smaller body.
Now, an image has been leaked that shows us the specifications of the Sony Xperia Z1 codenamed SO-01F alongside the purported Sony Xperia Z1 Mini (SO-02F). The image is believed to be from the Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo. The brochure also shows the specifications of both the Sony Xperia Z1 and its mini version.
Obviously the brochure may be fake so a grain of salt is recommended. Based on the leaked brochure, Sony Xperia Z1 Mini is expected to bring similar features as the current flagship and will be powered by the same quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz with Adreno 330 GPU. The handset will come with a 4.3-inch display with 720p resolution, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage onboard with a microSD card slot, 20.7MP rear camera, 2.2MP front camera, Bluetooth 4.0 and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean on top of it. The phone is also dust and water resistant.
If these specifications turns out to be true, Sony Xperia Z1 Mini would be an excellent handset, especially for those who want to buy Xperia Z1, but can’t because of its big size.
