The cat is out of the bag. I repeat, the cat is out of the bag. Not that it was very much in the bag, since it’s been whipped out of hiding a great number of times lately, being tucked back in ahead of next month’s all-revealing show.
Have no idea what I’m talking about? My bad, so let me clear the air real quick. The “cat” is actually Google and LG’s highly anticipated Nexus 5, photographed and turned upside down by two not-so-trustworthy-yet-fairly-reliable sources over the past 48 hours or so.
First off, courtesy of a MacRumors forum user (oh, the irony,) we’ve managed to score ourselves yet another alleged image of the N5. And this time, there’s no Mr. Blurrycam in sight. Then again, the handheld is turned off and only the back is shown in full glory, so it’s not that revealing after all.
Meanwhile, the folks over at Italian website Android World claim to have dug out the beast’s full spec sheet from an Android 4.4 KitKat system log. Sounds a little fishy, but on the other hand all the features ring true:
- 4.97-inch Full HD screen
- 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU
- 2 GB RAM
- 16 GB internal storage (possibly not the only version)
- 8 MP rear-facing camera (likely with no optical image stabilization)
- 1.2 MP secondary snapper
- 2,300 mAh battery
- Wireless charging
- 4G LTE, NFC
- Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS
