The folks at TechRadar, citing a source familiar with Google’s plans, said that the Nexus 5 will see the daylight in the last week of October — no exact release date was given, but the last week of October sounds good to me.

It was also revealed that Google will continue to follow the low price smartphone policy and Nexus 5 will come with a £275 ($473 AUS, $446 US). The source talked about the launch of the handset in UK, but Nexus fans should not worry about it as we hope that the handset will reach other markets after the launch as well.

Apple has set new standards with its 64-bit processors; it’s pretty obvious that other smartphone vendors will follow them. Samsung even announced that its future handsets will be equipped with 64-bit technology.

Based on rumors, Google Nexus 5 will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC, wireless charging and will come with Android 4.4 KitKat on top of. The handset will come with a 5-inch full HD display boasting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Bluetooth 4.0.

We’ll be on our toes to see if anything pops up related to Google Nexus 5.
