Trade shows and airports. These are the mortal enemies of mobile device batteries. Well, two of many, anyway. Fortunately, MOKA’s i6 portable charger came to my rescue on my most recent business trip.
There are never enough conveniently located outlets to charge my power-hungry smartphone when I spend such “quality” time in airports and convention centers. Nothing like getting your pants dirty by sitting on the floor in some dank corner of a public space while you huddle around an outlet, much like a freezing camper would around a fire. Or jockeying over those rare outlets with other 21st-century cavepeople.
The MOKA i6 rescued me from all that mess. I last charged it up more than a week ago, and it’s still powering my Droid. This sucker’s got a Lithium ION battery with a capacity of 20,000 mAh, which means you’ll get a dozen or so full smartphone recharges out of it before it needs another sip of that sweet, sweet electrical current. Tablets? I didn’t try one out, but the company claims the i6 can charge them three to five times on one cycle. This guy can also handle handheld gaming devices, GPS, digital cameras, portable DVD players, MP3 players… pretty much every digital device that needs a pick-me-up.
And for the true road warrior, how about charging two devices at the same time? You’re in luck, because the i6 can do that.
The MOKA i6 package includes a USB cable with mini and micro adaptors, along with a protective dust bag because you’re totally neat and tidy.
Because it’s so powerful, the i6 is heavier than a smartphone, but not too ridiculous to carry around. I placed it in my laptop bag while roaming the Colorado Convention Center for hours on end, and it took care of feeding my Droid the power it needed while I wandered in and out of everyone’s booths.
At $124.95, the MOKA i6 is a steal just because of the piece of mind it will bring you during your travels. More power to the people!
