Disappointed Apple didn’t follow the mobile market’s ongoing “bigger is better” trend and kept the screens on the iPhone 5s and 5c modest size-wise? Have a gut feeling the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 will also be more of the same?
Then you might as well look towards 2014, the year when all your prayers could be listened at long last. According to “industry sources” quoted by Korean online publication ET News, Apple is planning a complete overhaul of iDisplays. In other words, next-gen iPhones, iPads and even MacBooks and iMacs will likely step things up as far as screen size and resolution is concerned.
But how exactly? As you can imagine, the details are yet to be figured out, though ET News seems to have it on good authority the iPhone 6 will be at least a 5-incher. This is not the first time we’re hearing gossip of an iPhablet, so treat with caution, and also expect Cupertino to keep the 5s and 5c around for good measure.
Meanwhile, the iPad line is tipped to be upgraded with a 12.9-inch model, which is once again not news. Only it’s now unclear if Apple plans to roll out the iPad Maxi soon after the 9.7-inch iPad 5 and by the end of this year or sometime next spring.
Finally, the iWatch is itself back in the rumor mill, with speculations as to its panel now circling the 1.5 number. You know, in inches. Crickets, right?
