This much is true: HTC One Max can not stay out of the spotlight for too long. The rumor mill is spinning hard, bringing us all the tidbits of the purported HTC One Max phablet. Recently, the handset was spotted at the Chinese FCC and was also spotted alongside Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Now, the handset makes yet another appearance on the Android Central forums. And most exciting? It seems that the handset will make its way to the Big Red – Verizon.
The images surfaced from Android Central Forum where the poster claims the pictures (above and below) were sent to them by a friend who works at Verizon in New Jersey. The handset shows the branding of Verizon Wireless at the exact same spot where “HTC’s logo is supposed to go.” In addition, the person also confirms the presence of a fingerprint scanner on its rear and a removable back cover. The leaked image also shows the iPhone 5 on the table, which appears dwarfed by the alleged One Max.
The Verizon employee didn’t share anything regarding specifications, but we do already know almost all of them. The handset is rumored to feature a 5.9-inch display with 1080p resolution and will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro with a clock speed of 1.7GHz. HTC One Max will come with 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a massive 3,300 mAh battery and runs Android 4.3 Jelly bean on top of it.
Rumors suggest that the phablet will be officially unveiled in the next coming weeks and will arrive with a price tag of $800. We hope to see an official announcement from the Taiwanese manufacturer in the near future. Stay tuned.
