While the rumor mill is already leaking information about the budget-friendly Moto DVX, a new rumor has emerged on the internet that suggests a 6.3-inch phablet to be in the pipeline of the Google-owned company alongside Verizon Droid Ultra’s successor.
The rumor emerged from Gforgames, citing their trusted sources who are quite accurate when it comes to Motorola leaks, suggesting that Motorola is working on a phablet known as Motorola Xplay. The phablet is rumored to feature a gigantic 6.3-inch display and will go against Sony’s Xperia Z Ultra. Currently, there are no details about the specifications of this purported phablet, but the same source claims that the device will hit the shelves next year.
In addition, the source also mentions that the successor to Verizon’s Droid Ultra, dubbes as Droid Quantum, is also in works and will be launched in the similar time-frame. The handset should have a similar screen size as Droid Ultra, but we don’t have any information about the technical details of the handset.
Let’s just take this rumor with a pinch of salt. If these two devices are in Motorola’s pipeline, it will increase the total number of devices in work to be three: Motorola DVX, Xplay and Quantum. We’ll update you if we find any information about these devices.
