AT&T, US Cellular and now MetroPCS? Who knew Samsung’s kooky-looking Galaxy Mega 6.3 would become so popular and widespread stateside? And don’t be shocked if T-Mobile were to pick it up soon after Metro, since the two carriers are as thick as thieves.
But for now, let’s focus on Mega’s very likely MetroPCS debut. When is this supposed to happen? No idea, though it’s probably right around the corner. Otherwise, how can you explain a mystery TmoNews tipster has apparently got some one-on-one time with a working unit already filled with Metro-specific bloatware software?
As far as pricing goes, chances are the prepaid carrier will look to undercut AT&T’s off-contract $480 tag (Ma Bell also sells the Mega 6.3 for $150 with pacts), so something along the lines of 400 bucks is to be expected. Especially with MetroPCS charging a measly $549 for the outright Galaxy S4, a still much more technically impressive device than the Mega.
Yes, that’s right, you could be able to score a massive 6.3-incher with 720p display, dual-core 1.7 GHz CPU, 1.5 GB RAM and 8 MP rear-facing camera for $400 before the holidays. Ain’t that grand? You know, if you dig “phones” the size of table tennis rackets.
