ARCHOS has announced its 2nd generation gaming tablet, just in time for the holiday season. The ARCHOS GamePad 2 takes all the success from the GamePad 1 and delivers more of what gamers want.
The GamePad 2 boasts more powerful hardware that make it better for tablet-use as well as gaming. The 4.2 Android OS runs a 1.6GHz quad-core processor combined with 2GB of system RAM, ensuring smooth games and video.
The 7 inch HD screen features 1280 x 800 widescreen resolution that is bright and colorful from many viewing angles. To make sure that users don’t have to quit playing too soon, the GamePad 2 has a bigger battery that lasts longer than most same-sized tablets.
Because performance is of utmost importance when it comes to gaming, ARCHOS has improved upon the thumb sticks, buttons, and mapping tool. The controls are far more precise and responsive, delivering the gaming experience one demands.
Despite being a gaming powerhouse, the ARCHOS GamePad 2 is still an Android tablet and performs everything you would expect a tablet to do. A front-facing webcam and built-in microphone lets you video chat with friends, foes, and family.
You also get versatile connectivity with Bluetooth and WiFi wireless as well as HDMI output.
“Following the success of the GamePad 1, we knew that we could take the gaming-tablet concept further. With our GamePad 2 we have included an HD screen, better controls, a larger battery and a faster processor,” said Loic Poirier ARCHOS CEO.
“We’re excited to be working with a leading games company like Gameloft to pre-install two visually stunning titles for an amazing gaming experience.”
ARCHOS GamePad 2 is expected to be available by the end of this year. Visit ARCHOS.com for full specs and information about the GamePad 2.
