Before you even start, I get it. You’ve had it up to here with the hollow Google/LG Nexus 5 rumor bonanza that at this point can’t really bring anything new to the table. But if you’ll give me just a few seconds of your time, we can get through the latest round of speculation quickly and painlessly.
Ready? Here goes nothing. According to CNet UK and the website’s anonymous inside sources (yeah, right), the N5, Android 4.4 KitKat and, most likely, new Nexus 10 unveilings are set for October 15. Exactly, next Tuesday.
How credible is that piece of gossip? Beats me, as so many dates have been thrown in the rumor mill of late, all based on the rock-solid word of “people in the know.” Bottom line, October 15 is equally as plausible as October 31, or 22, or 29, or 17. Or November 5, for that matter.
Anyways, just to remind us it is indeed coming and is looming on the horizon, the Nexus 5 has swooshed past Bluetooth SIG under one of its many aliases, LG D821, getting the authority’s stamp of approval with version 4.0 of the connectivity option. Yawn, am I right?
Oh, well, I bet you won’t feel the same way once the thing becomes official and rocks all those top-notch features, like Snapdragon 800 power, 2 GB RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat, and keeps the pricing low, possibly around the $300 mark.
