We’ve seen several rumors mentioning that Nokia is working on a 6-inch phablet. There’s no denying to this fact as we’ve seen the handset in a number of leaked images and teasers posted by Nokia — especially the recent teaser, showing a smartphone, a tablet and a laptop. If that’s not enough for you, the notorious leaker @evleaks posted some unofficial press renders of the handset as well.
In terms of specifications, we know that it will bring the best available hardware including a Snapdragon 800 SoC and a full-HD display. Now, a new report mentions the complete specifications of the purported Nokia Lumia 1520.
The folks at NokiaPowerUser posted a complete set of specifications, based on the best available information. The much-awaited Nokia Lumia 1520 will feature a massive 6-inch full-HD AMOLED display boasting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 to power the handset with a clock speed of 2GHz and 2GB RAM.
On the rear, the phablet is expected to bring an impressive 20.7 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Optics and optical image stabilization. The camera is rumored to come with dual-shot capabilities, capturing images at 16MP and 5MP.
On the storage side, the handset will features 32/64GB storage with a microSD card slot. Other features include wireless charging, 4G/LTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth and will support a nano-SIM card. To make sure there’s enough juice for the handset, Lumia 1520 is expected to come with a massive 3,400 mAh battery.
Lastly, the handset is rumored to launch with Windows Phone 8 Update 3 or what we call it, the GDR3 update. Microsoft recently made the official announcement of the Windows Phone 8 Update 3.
Everything will come to light in less than two weeks when the company is expected to unveil the device at a press event in Abu Dhabi, UAE on October 22nd – the same day when we expect Apple will unleash its next generation iPad and iPad Mini 2.
