Google Nexus 5 has been leaked in great detail since it was featured in the Google KitKat promo video. The handset appeared on FCC and people even made some concept designs based on all the leaked information. Even if that wasn’t enough, the handset went through hands-on for a whole seven minutes that showed the purported Google Nexus 5 from every possible angle, exterior as well as it’s software.
Now, some more images of the purported handset emerged from Russian shores — yes Russia, not China. Well, the device in the images look similar to the one we’ve seen from the past few weeks. The images were posted by a Google+ user Anton Kuznetsov that simply says “From Russia with Love.” One of the images show that the user is running on Beeline Wireless, which is one of the carriers in Russia.
Let’s just recall: Google Nexus 5 features a 4.95-inch display with 1080p resolution, Snapdragon 800 SoC with a clockspeed of 2.3GHz, 2GB RAM, 16/32GB internal storage, 8MP camera with OIS, 2,300 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
According to several rumors, the handset is rumored to launch on October 15 with the availability date to be 31st of October. The rumor mill tossed many launch dates, including October 14 — that is today. The same October 15 was tossed around to developers at Google Launchpad as well.
Coming over to the pricing, the rumor mill suggests that 16GB Nexus 5 will come with a $299 price tag while the 32GB version would set you back by $399.
As of now, there’s no official word from Google about the launch event, but let’s hope that it turn out to be this month.
