Everyday, we have a new leak that point towards a possible launch of Google [easyazon-link asin=”B00ACVHKSC” locale=”us”]Nexus[/easyazon-link] 5. Yesterday, we saw some leaked images of the purported Nexus 5 that surfaced from Russia. If that’s not enough, you can check out the detailed seven minutes hands-on video of the alleged Nexus 5. Now, to strengthen our belief, an alleged image of a case of the purported Nexus 5 has surfaced on Google+.
The image was posted by a South Korean case-maker, Spigen, which makes a variety of mobile accessories for various smartphones including the iPhones and other Android devices as well. The purported images shows the alleged smartphone with a case that mentions “Nexus 5 Revolution.”
If you missed the whole Nexus 5 saga and don’t know what this not-so-secret device will bring to the table, then you must be living under a rock. Anyway, let’s just do a quick recap. The purported Nexus 5 is expected to feature a full hd 4.95-inch TFT full HD screen boasting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset with a clock speed of 2.3GHz, 2GB RAM, 8MP camera with optical image stabiliztion, 16/32GB internal storage, 2,300 mAh battery and will run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
The rumor mill has generated several release dates in the past. At first, it was rumored that the handset will see the daylight on October 14th, which didn’t happen. Later, the word came out from Google Launchpad that it will be released on October 15, which I doubt. If you ask me, I’d go with the end of October launch date — October 31st.
We’ll update you as soon as there is any information pops up on the internet about the purported Nexus 5.
