Samsung Galaxy S5 is still months away, but that doesn’t stop the rumor mill from spinning with predictions about the upcoming handset. We’ve seen several rumors in the past suggesting that Samsung is planning to ditch the plastic exterior and will switch to a metallic rear in the alleged Galaxy S5. Well, don’t get too excited yet, as it was just a rumor and we’ll surely hear hundreds of rumors before the handset is even official.
And concerning the S5 exterior material, a new rumor has emerged on the internet suggesting otherwise. Instead it saying that the purported Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with the usual plastic exterior and faux leather coating — similar to Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Let me make just one thing pretty clear. It’s just a rumor and the source of the image is not well-known — and it wouldn’t be surprising if Samsung makes S5 of the same plastic exterior.
The Korean giant had a successful run with the earlier Galaxy S devices, all of them came with almost similar design. Take the case of Galaxy S4; it features the same design as its predecessor with a slightly bigger screen.
Well, I guess we’ll find out about the purported Galaxy S5 pretty soon. Rumors suggest that it will make an appearance early next year and after the iPad/Nokia launch events, rumor mill will shift its entire focus on it. We’ll update you as soon as we have more information.
