Like most everyone, we love the iPad. But sometimes it’s not the most user-friendly device. For example, when you’re trying to read while eating, or if you’re using it to study, it’d be nice if you didn’t need to hold it the whole time.

That’s where iPad desk stands like Ergotech’s [easyazon-link asin=”B00BD5WJKK” locale=”us”]VersaStand[/easyazon-link] come in. It currently works with iPads 2, 3 and 4, with versions for iPad Air and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 coming by early next year.

[easyazon-link asin=”B00BD5WJKK” locale=”us”]VersaStand[/easyazon-link] is a lightweight, industrial-strength aluminum stand that comes with a rubberized hard case and is Smart Cover compatible. We had a chance to experiment with [easyazon-link asin=”B00BD5WJKK” locale=”us”]VersaStand[/easyazon-link] at Technology Tell HQ, and we had a great experience with the product.

Setup is a cinch. The iPad simply and securely snaps into the included case. Then you take the aluminum stand and set up the arms and legs. You then squeeze buttons on either of a magnet and stick the case to the magnet. The iPad can then securely rest on the stand. It’s just as simple to remove the case from the stand, and to remove the iPad from the case. Once you get the hang of it, you can set up this sucker in less than a minute.

3versasYou can easily articulate the iPad pretty much any way you please–up down, side to side, even around.

Another cool feature of [easyazon-link asin=”B00BD5WJKK” locale=”us”]VersaStand[/easyazon-link] is that it folds flat, so it’s easy to take on the go.
