Well, well, well, what have we here? It’s the world’s second smartphone to sport a curved display, LG’s (so far) elusive G Flex, upping Samsung Galaxy Round’s ante in both size and craftsmanship.
Now, this is not the first time we’re seeing the G Flex smiling to the camera and it’s definitely not the first time we’re hearing about it, as it’s been making the rumor rounds for what feels like an eternity.
But unlike that cold, distant presser duo shot from ten days back, we’re finally glancing at the 6-incher, that’s right, 6-incher, in flesh and blood (or, you know, silicon and plastic.) Plus, as a bonus, we’re being spoiled with a pretty extensive hands-on preview, courtesy of an Argentinean journalist that, God knows how, got his grubby hands on a working prototype.
According to the guy, this may well be the last time we’re checking out G Flex’s sexy curves, as LG probably won’t beat Samsung to the punch and roll the innovative-looking fellow on a very wide scale. Instead, exactly like the G Round, the 6-incher is destined in limited quantities for Korea only.
Looking at the device, it’s quite obvious what was LG’s inspiration for it (cough, G2, cough,) with virtually identical corners and lines and even quirky physical buttons on the back. Hardware-wise, very few details have transpired, namely the camera’s 13 MP sensor and not much else, whereas mum continues to be the word on pricing.
