Samsung Electronics‘ sales are up again for the 3rd quarter. What’s new? This isn’t surprising as the South Korean giant is doing really well in the mobile industry. It’s the top Android device manufacturer as evident in the numerous new Android-running smartphones and tablets and recently, a smart watch in the form of the Galaxy Gear.
The $9.6 Billion sales were record high, thanks to the cheap Galaxy phones introduced that allowed millions to afford new Android phones. The company is also benefiting from memory chips, particularly RAM and Flash storage, that are being used by other manufacturers for their own devices.
As for the TV market, sales are not as impressive despite the drop in prices but take note that sales of bigger panels and TVs are improving.
