Another day starts with a new Google Nexus 5 rumor. Yesterday, we saw Google Nexus 5 posing for the camera again (yes, again.) And today is no different, a new rumors surfaced on the internet suggesting that Google’s newest creation will go live via Google Play Store today at 8AM PST with an expected shipping date of November 1.
The news emerged from Twitter user Galvin Phelan, who has been posting images of the unreleased Google Nexus 5 for a week or so. The new Nexus 5 could be released in a similar fashion as last year’s Nexus 5, quietly going live on the Google Play Store. Google has yet to send out invites about the launch event, but based on the leaks and information we’ve seen in the past few days, we’re gonna wild guess and hope that today (Thursday, also Halloween) is the day.
Here are some of the images posted on Twitter.
On the hardware side, the handset will bring top of the line specifications with a 1080p display and Snapdragon 800 onboard. The handset is also rumored to come with an impressive 8-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization and Android 4.4 on top of it. And the best part is that all of these specifications are expected to come with an affordable price tag of $349 (16GB version.)
If these rumors are correct, we should see the new Nexus 5 pop up in the Google Play Store in the next few hours with an official press release and pricing information. We’ll surely be on our toes and update you as soon as the handset gets official.
