Last week, Google announced a cool update in their Glass Explorers program. Well, it’s a pretty sweet deal if you’re one of the lucky Glass Explorers, or rather, a lucky friend to one of the Explorers; As now, each Glass Explorer may each invite three friends to purchase the next-gen wearable.
With the new push for more Glass-holes, Google has rather silently rolled out an official Glass Shop. Accessible (only for Glass owners) through the product website, Glass Shop is offering pretty ordinary accessories for the smart specs: Extra Mono Earbud ($50, currently out of stock); Clear Shield ($75); Extra Charger and Cable ($50, currently out of stock); and an Extra Pouch ($50, currently out of stock.)

So pretty much at this time, you can get a clear plastic protective shield for your Glass. Cool.
Also, the Glass developers team has just announced that the Glass hardware 2.0 is currently in development. Mock-ups show a bit more ‘street-savvy,’ yet still uber-futuristic look. A single earbud attachment is optional for users — plus every Explorer will receive a one-time-only no-charge upgrade to the new pair, when ready. Damn, it must feel good to be an Explorer.
