We haven’t heard much lately about Maingear, but the brand is making a comeback with what it bravely calls the “World’s Thinnest Laptop.” Meet the Maingear Pulse 17—super sleek at 21mm, weighing less than six pounds, and a powerful gaming laptop.
Specs include a minimum of 2.4GHz Intel Core i7 4700HQ mobile processor (3.4GHz max), Intel Turbo Boost 2.0. Graphics, Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M graphics card, 2G RAM, integrated subwoofer, Sound Blaster Cinema audio technology, SSD with 900MB/s read speed or 1TB HDD, 17.3-inch display, and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.
The features enumerated obviously mean a high starting price of $2,099. Specs are good but there’s no mention of battery life. I need to know first if this will last a true gamer’s addiction.
