Just like its forefather, Google and LG’s Nexus 5 is shaping up to be a slippery little devil, with initial Play Store stocks depleted in no time and a new batch only due out in a couple of weeks. Thankfully, Sprint has your back if patience is not your best trait, albeit there’s something in it for America’s number three wireless service provider as well.
The Nexus 5 technically goes for $150 with two-year Sprint contracts, which sounds scandalously high compared to Google’s outright $350 price tag. However, an online pledge can shake 100 bucks off the pricing, bringing it down to a much more lucrative $50. Provided you can cough up another $50, which Sprint will return once you fill out a rebate form.
Or you can save yourselves some trouble and score the [easyazon-link asin=”B00ABPKHH0″ locale=”us”]Nexus[/easyazon-link] off contract in black or white by doling out $450. That’s a hundred clams north of what Google Play charges and I guess now you understand what I meant by there being “something in it” here for Sprint.
Sadly, the only alternative is to keep playing the waiting game, but mind you, there will most definitely be those that will pay Now Network’s premium, so think fast. Are you in or are you out?
