We’ve seen several rumors about the purported Samsung Galaxy S5, what it will bring, its specifications and build. A rumor has it that Korean OEM is working on two versions of the handset with one featuring a similar build to the Galaxy Round while the other one features the same plastic body.
We’ve also seen rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will feature a metal body. For the metal casings, a rumor mentioned that Taiwanese company Catcher was selected as a manufacturer to supply the metal casings for the upcoming Galaxy S5. According to a new report, Catcher will start supplying a specific number of units this month, almost 10 to 30 million units. The remaining units will be provided by Chinese company BYD and Taiwan’s Ju Teng.
Rumors suggest that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 will feature a 5-inch Super AMOLED display sporting a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Under the hood, it is rumored to come with 4GB RAM, 16MP camera and a 64-bit processor with Android 4.4 pre-installed. It is expected to see the daylight in February, most probably on Mobile World Congress 2014, with sales beginning in March.
Well, let’s just take this rumor with a grain of salt as it isn’t backed with proof that can confirm about the metal casings. Several rumors have popped up, but we wouldn’t just be too happy at the moment, until we see an official confirmation from the Korean OEM. Although the latest reports suggest it might be a possibility. Let’s just hope it’s true. What do you people think?
