The former, which can best be described as a bad-ass 6-inch mo-fo with Full HD and quad-core skills, can be had via Carphone Warehouse. The retailer sells the phone for £599.99 ($980) in a SIM-free, unlocked flavor, whereas on-contract models start at no upfront charge provided you opt for a £38 monthly plan from Vodafone or are willing to cough up £52 every 30 days to O2.
Sounds a little on the expensive side? Then maybe Clove is the better option, as their SIM-free copy of the Lumia 1520 costs £550, including VAT ($899). Black units are to start shipping in less than 24 hours, while the 6-incher coated in silky white paint is “due mid December”.
As for the Lumia 2520 slate, John Lewis appears to have exclusive rights at the moment and plenty of stock to go around. Too bad the 10-inch Windows RT-based gizmo is quite costly, at £399.95 ($653), in either black or red. On the bright side, it’s got 4G LTE connectivity, so maybe it’s worth that big pile of cash after all.
Just keep in mind that, as soon as other retailers will get ahold of it, the pricing is bound to come tumbling down.
